Instructions for AUC
- Presentation schedule AUC-77 Invitation letter will be sent to PI through registered email as provided in proposal.
- Accommodation List AUC-77. No request for change will be accepted. Accommodation will be on shared basis only. Checkout strictly at 10:00 AM next day of presentation. Plan your travel accordingly.
- For University/ Institutions under sections both 2 (f) and 12 (b) of the UGC Act, users travel charges will be reimbursed up to AC-II tier for faculty members, up to AC Chair Car/ AC-III tier for research scholars with fellowship and only sleeper class/ ordinary bus for research scholars without any fellowship. All the journeys should be performed by government carriers only. No reimbursement will be made for journeys performed by private carriers. You are requested to furnish the Original tickets for your to and fro travel. IUAC will be able to support travel for only one person. However, for non-university/ private university users, no travel support will be reimbursed.
- Request for online Presentation and change in schedule will not be considered.
- Presentations for AUC-77 will be held on 15-18 December 2024 at IUAC.
- All presentations will be in-person mode at IUAC.
- Details of who should defend the proposal at IUAC
- Due to limited availabiliy, accommodation will be provided to only one person to defend their proposal
- For BTR 2 presentations guide must attend the presentation by ONLINE MODE. Student of BTR 2 must defend the proposal in-person at IUAC
- List of Proposals selected for presentation during AUC-77
- Start date for proposal submissions for AUC-77: 15 September 2024.
- End date for proposal submissions for AUC-77: 5:30 PM, 15 October 2024.
- Proposals submitted with wrong selection of BTR forms will be rejected.

- Submit the proposal very carefully. Details as submitted will be considered as final. No changes (eg ion type, current, energy etc) in the submitted proposal will be accepted.

Important Informations for USERS
- How and when to apply for the beam time
- Users who have created account during last AUC's can login to their dashboard with username and password created during earlier submission.
- Details and status of the online submitted proposals can be accessed from the respective user's dashboard. Login to your dashboard and click on the "Application History" menu to check the status.
- Ensure your browser has JAVA enabled
- Ensure that the file you plan to upload during submission of proposal do not have spaces in its name, eg my file name.pdf is wrong and myfilename.pdf is correct
- General Guidelines For IUAC Users
- Please note that offline forms or forms submitted through email will not be accepted. Only the forms uploaded using online portal (using user dashboard) will be considered.
- Form for approval of inclusion of institution or university under sections 2 (f) and 12 (b) of UGC Act. Upload this form after due approval from registrar. Upload this duly filled and signed form while submitting the BTR-3 form
- Users are required to go through the Radiation Safety Lecture before arriving at IUAC for beamtime experiments.

Instructions for AUC Presentations and Standard Presentation Procedure (SPP)
- Presentation strictly in pdf format Only (.ppt/.pptx etc. will not be accepted). Details on how/when to upload the presentation will be communicated to participants through their registered email address. Uploaded files are for archive purpose/future reference.
- The maximum number of slides is 6 with file size not exceeding 15 MB. Presentation time(to be followed strictly). Plan your presentations accordingly.
- All Presentation (BTR 1/2/3/5): 10 Minutes + 2 Minutes for discussion.
- Standard Presentation Procedure (SPP). Focus of presentation should be on the following points
- Title of the research proposal ( It should not be more than 10 to 15 words and should contain some keyword of the field)
- Literature survey to indicate the gap areas, which should be consistent with research proposal.
- Define clearly the research question. ( To address the gap areas)
- Research objective, how the research question to be addressed. Details of the experiment to be done.
- Research outcome and future prospective.
- Scientific motivation, Originality / Novelty of the proposal
- Brief mention of previous research outcome(if any) of accelerator/facilities used in past at IUAC
- Beam details, beam time required and use of offline and online facilities, targets preparation lab. or any other facilities required
- User should try not to include any slides on theory (unless it is absolutely necessary for the proposal)

- Link to upload the presentation will be communicated to all selected participants through their registered email address. Click on the link and upload the presentation before deadline.
