The school aims to familiarize the participants with powerful computing methods that they need to apply in their research, with an emphasis on quantum systems relevant to material science applications. It features lectures by eminent experts on molecular dynamics, density functional theory, and its applications, including but not limited to low-dimensional materials, energy materials, and biological materials. The interface between theory and experimentation with the help of new computing technologies will be covered in the school. The participants will get exposure of hands-on of first principles calculations on the newly installed 3 Peta Flops High Performance Computing Cluster installed at IUAC.
